Stories for the earth
Next cohort FALL 2024
We, us people, have always told stories - In good times and dark times.
Stories that could point to the things that live under the surface, An answer, a question, a truth.
In these sessions we are asking - in this time -
Which stories is the earth asking us to Tell? Listen to?
In these 4 sessions we will linger in the space between…
between imagination and real feet on real earth.
between the mythic and the life we live in these bodies
between the current and the imagening of new ways
between image and words - the spoken and written
between the wild and the human
between body and soil
between each other
We live in a time where a strong narrative seems to be ‘what’s in it for me?’. A narrative that has left some massive destruction behind it as it has wormed itself through time.
Great minds say we live in dark times, or a new paradigm is coming or more so needed. And I truly believe that the news stories we need to listen to are in fact ancient.
They don’t live on screens. Aren’t born from new ideas.
They come from deep in the core and found way through bones and soil. They are more relevant than ever.
They have something for us, the WHAT is the grand mystery - that’s the excitement, the kind of attention we need to be bringing.
Tapping on our shoulders asking us to pay attention. Without overloading our brains with facts, THE truth or one sided answers.
Asking us not to care to much about ‘what can we extract’
but what comes alive as we listen!
Through story, writing and image we will spend time with:
Reciprocity
Your relationship to the natural world
Uncertainty and the magic of not knowing it all
Listening for the subtle
Imagining and image
Slowing down
